With the establishment of ENEF by Decree No. 7.397/2010, the governance structure of ENEF includes public and private entities interested in promoting financial education in Brazil. The format preserves the independence of the supervisory bodies of the financial system to develop their own educational actions.

As a national policy, ENEF should address the following governance areas:

  • National Financial Education Committee – CONEF: body responsible for the direction, supervision and promotion of ENEF. Comprised by seven government bodies and entities and six civil society organizations.

  • Pedagogical Support Group – GAP: advisory body to CONEF regarding pedagogical aspects related to financial and social security education. Comprised by representatives of each of the following organs and entities:

    Private Insurance Superintendence
    Ministry of Education
    Ministry of Finance
    Ministry of Justice and Citizenship
    5 Federal Education Institutions, one per Brazilian region
    National Council of Education
    Council of Secretaries of Education
    Union of Municipal Education Officers

    Permanent Commission – CP: body established to provide CONEF with the necessary technical support to the National Financial Education Strategy. A representative and an alternate member of each CONEF entity or body are members of CONEF.

    Executive Secretariat: provides administrative support and provides the necessary means to achieve the objectives of CONEF. Exercised by the Central Bank.

    AEF-Brasil

    AEF-Brasil is an Oscip, created in 2011 by ANBIMA, B3, CNSEG and FEBRABAN with the objectives of coordinating and executing the transversal actions of ENEF and promoting financial education in Brazil through the development of social and educational technologies related to the theme .

COORDINATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMS
