These are the financial education actions of ENEF, which are not the sole responsibility of a specific body or entity, by the beneficiary public or prioritized financial thematic. Its objectives require the combination of various themes such as protection, financial planning, savings, investment, credit and consumer protection.
Cross-cutting programs are coordinated by the Brazilian Financial Education Association – AEF-Brasil. AEF contributes to ENEF through the development of social and educational technologies that can be reapplied by any interested person or organization, thus giving the necessary scale to the subject of financial education.
These programs can be sponsored by any institution interested in promoting financial education in Brazil.
See below the transversal programs of ENEF:
Financial Education Program In Schools
The Financial Education Program in Schools proposes to bring financial education to the school environment. It has two focus areas, Elementary and Middle School, and its objective is to contribute to the development of a culture of planning, prevention, saving, investment and conscious consumption in future generations of Brazilians. By working on financial education from the earliest years of school life, it contributes to building the skills necessary for students to meet the social and economic challenges of society, as well as the exercise of citizenship.

Adult Financial Education Program
Adult audiences also need financial education because they are currently active in the market. To promote financial education for the adult public, the Adult Financial Education Program was created. Initially, two vulnerable populations were identified as priority target groups: women beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família Program and retirees with income of 1 to 2 minimum wages. For these people, two sets of social technologies of financial education are being developed and systematized. The goal, in the case of women in the Bolsa Família Program, is to contribute to improving the management of the family budget, in order to stimulate reflection on the life project of women and their financial planning. With regard to the project for retirees, it aims to reduce and prevent over-indebtedness of this public, so as to help them decide consciously and autonomously in relation to the management of their resources.

National Financial Education Week
The National Week of Financial Education is a mobilization action of ENEF that aims to disseminate financial education throughout the country, through actions developed by members of the National Committee on Financial Education (CONEF) and invited partners. In addition to the official agenda of the Week, it creates an opportunity for public agencies, private initiative and civil society organizations to carry out financial education initiatives, contributing to disseminate the theme in all regions of Brazil. To be in line with what is proposed by the National Week of Financial Education, it is necessary that the actions developed respect the principles of ENEF, especially gratuity.
